My interest in pinball machines began back in the mid 70’s when I got my first job fixing all kinds of machines in an arcade at an amusement park in Northeast Ohio! I continued this new passion through most of my summer and winter breaks while attending The Ohio State University in Columbus … OH-IO! I studied Electrical Engineering with a focus on analog and digital circuit design. This was good timing since solid state pinball machines and video games were just being introduced to the world. Unfortunately, after graduation my focus turned to working a ‘real’ job as an analog circuit designer and starting a family in Dayton, Ohio. Five years later, we moved back to Northeast Ohio (to our hometown) after our second son was born. Fast forward about 15 years and I found myself wanting to start a hobby. It was an easy choice … I needed to return to my long lost passion of working on pinball machines! I turned a portion of my basement into my workshop and got busy! I have learned many things along the way and, with my electronics background, have been able to solve challenges fairly quickly. We moved to North Carolina in 2010 where basements and storage are not always prevalent. I was able to turn the third bay of my garage into my new workshop. Since this is a hobby, it plays second fiddle to my other responsibilities. Over the last few years I have come in contact with many great folks that have interesting stories about their pins and their life experiences! I am glad to be blessed with the capabilities to bring their machines back to life!
